Chapter one...

Carpe Diem
How it all began is actually a mystery, somehow we ended up looking for boats that would give most "bang for the buck" and offer classic lines and that certain something you really cant explain.

After browsing through the Finnish boats that were up for sale we soon realized that we need to look west, all the way to the Swedish boat markets. After awhile, we found this one example with a respectable history of major refurbishment (including actually everything). Carpe Diem was originally born 1969 and had since been take care of . The boat seemed to offer most value for the money so we made sure it would be ours. So at the end of June 2012 we actually became the owners.

There was a slight problem though. She was in Stockholm and we at Espoo. Some 200 miles between us, luckily there are ferries. The image below shows the route from Svinning to Degerö which was the first port of call on the Finnish side of the pond, the cover image is actually from there.
